Account & Data Deletion

Provauto gives you full control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app at any time. This page explains how, and what happens when you do.

For Premium Users (Signed In)

If you have a Premium account with cloud sync, you can delete your account and all data from within the app:

  1. Open Provauto on your device
  2. Tap the status bar at the top of the home screen to open Settings
  3. In the Account section, tap Delete Account
  4. Review the list of data that will be deleted
  5. Type DELETE to confirm
  6. If your session has expired, we'll send a confirmation link to your email — tap the link to complete deletion

What gets deleted

Account deletion is immediate and permanent. The following data is removed:

  • Cloud data: All projects, timeline entries, and settings stored in Cloud Firestore
  • Cloud photos: All photos stored in Firebase Storage (cover photos and timeline photos)
  • Your account: Your Firebase Authentication account (email and credentials)
  • Local data: The local SQLite database, app preferences, and locally stored photos are all cleared from your device

What we do NOT store

  • Payment information: We never have access to your payment details — purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google. To manage or request a refund, contact the App Store or Google Play directly.

For Free Users (No Account)

Free users do not have an account — no sign-in is required, and no data is stored in the cloud. Your data lives only on your device.

To delete your data, you have two options:

  1. From the app: Tap the status bar at the top of the home screen to open Settings → Account section → tap Delete All Data, then type DELETE to confirm. This removes all local projects, entries, photos, and preferences.
  2. From your device: Uninstall Provauto, or clear the app's data from your device settings. This removes all locally stored data.

Data Retention

  • Account and cloud data: Deleted immediately upon confirmation. There is no grace period or recovery window.
  • Local data: Deleted immediately from your device.
  • Crash reports (Sentry): Anonymized diagnostic data is automatically purged after 90 days. Crash reports do not contain personal information or vehicle data.
  • Purchase records (RevenueCat): RevenueCat retains an anonymous purchase receipt for platform compliance. This record contains no personal information — only an anonymous app user ID.

If you are unable to delete your account through the app (for example, if you no longer have access to your device), you can request manual deletion by contacting us:

Include the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
